Canvas & Beyond is dedicated to nurturing artistic skills through step-by-step learning, engaging activities and innovative teaching methods.
Every student starts where they are. A four-year-old learning to hold a brush and a seventeen-year-old building a fine-art portfolio sit in the same joyful room — each with work pitched at exactly the right level. No rushing, no comparison, no "you're not the artistic type".

What We Teach

Professional Art Teacher · Masters in Fine Art
Gargi teaches the way she wishes art had been taught to her — patiently, in sequence, and with the reason behind every technique explained. A Masters in Fine Art sits behind the curriculum, but what students notice first is that nobody is ever told their work is wrong.
Her classes move from the fundamentals of line and light through to independent canvases, with each learner's pace, interest and temperament shaping what they work on next.

Inside a Class
How a session actually runs
Two focused hours with a clear shape — so students always know what they are learning and why.
Join us every Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm to immerse yourself in the world of art. Additional weekday and weekend batches run through the year.

Warm-up & observation
Quick sketching drills to loosen the hand and train the eye before the main work begins.

Demonstration
Gargi works through the day's technique live, step by step, so students see it done before they try it.

Guided practice
Students work on their own piece with individual correction at the easel — the longest part of the class.

Review & take-home
Each piece is discussed kindly and honestly, with a small practice task to carry the learning home.
